About this Website
With this homepage we want to provide information on how to get to the BZZ school.
Horgen is connected to the SBB railway system with 4 trains from and to Zurich main station per hour. But the train is not the only way to get to your classes in time, you can also take the ferry if you live across the lake on the other lakeside. Or if you already have your driver's licence you can also take your car to school. The school building has its own car park for motorbikes and several parking lots around the buliding.
About the School
The BZZ (short for Berufsbildungs Zentrum Zuerichsee) is situated in Horgen, a small town located on the Right Bank of beautiful lake Zurich.
The BZZ is a vocational school for apprentices from all over canton Zurich. The school offers courses for recyclists, electicians, business assistants, computer specialists and organ builders. There is also a department for extension studies, which offers a wide range of different courses that usually take place in the evenings.
In the school buliding you will find a library, a small cafeteria and even a tabletop soccer table. The classrooms provide excellent infrastructure (e.g. over 300 PCs) and most classrooms are set up with a video projector.
The school is only about 2 minute away from the train station and about 3 minutes away from the lakefront.
About the Project
We were assigned with a project to create a website about the school in English by our technical English teacher Mrs. Cathy Amstutz. The project started on the 14th of June and is due on the 14th of July, we have 14 lessons to our disposal.
