The Lake Zurich Ferry
Across the lake from Horgen lies the town of Meilen. To provide a faster way from one side of the lake to the other, a ferry service was established in 1933. Now there are 5 ferries that leave Horgen approximately every 7 minutes. The crossing takes 10 minutes and the ferry transports both vehicles and people.
Timetable
There is no exact timetable for the ferry, but it leaves every 6 - 7½ minutes during the peak times. The first ferry leaves Horgen at 6.00 AM and Meilen at 6.15 aM. The last ferries depart at 9.45 PM from Horgen, and at 10.00 PM from Meilen.
